The combination of several events, both tragic and humorous, are responsible for the development of the Pink Stinker® brand. First, there was the murder of a young mother, our niece, by her estranged husband. Second, there were the repeated rapes and assaults in a local upscale park. Third, being disgusted at seeing on the news the police sketches of 'the guy who got away' followed by the remark, "if you see him - call the police". Enough was enough, there are solutions, and something needed to be done...A feral cat was reeking havoc on our farm and needed to be captured. A humane trap was set and unfortunately a common striped skunk was captured. During the twelve hour ordeal that followed, the skunk used its powerful and effective defense mechanism multiple times. It became apparent that the defensive spray mechanism was very effective and why skunks are rightly known as 'stinkers'. During this situation an idea emerged while asking myself, "Why don't humans defensively spray and mark their attackers?" A PhD chemist and an aerosol specialist were hired to formulate the strongest pepper spray formula permissible. Following my wife's recommendation, a visible pink skin dye assailant marker was added to 'make it difficult for an assailant to evade detection and deny involvement in foul play'. The concept is simple and effective: Hit 'em with Hot pepper. Mark 'em with Pink dye. The logo is a pink striped skunk; her name is Pink Stinker®. Don't mess with her!
